Review: Upon hearing that a new pizza place had opened, we high tailed it over to West Lafayette to give this one a try. Today was the grand opening, and apparently the first 500 customers through the door would get free pizza for a year and people were camping out to be first. Had I known about this before, maybe I’d have taken my tent… or maybe not. It’s cold out there!
It’s situated in Wabash Landing, right next to Panera and Borders. When the say limited seating, they mean it. There are two tables that seat four people each and a wall bar that sits three. This really is more of a delivery and take out establishment. Speaking, of they also offer online ordering, which is excellent. (If you haven’t ordered pizza online, you are missing out. It’s the only way to go.)
The place was hopping when we entered with lots of employees busy taking orders and making pizza. We went with the classic – thin crust pepperoni pizza and their original breadstix. The food was all very good. The original breadstix are actually cheese sticks, so be warned that they are covered in cheese when ordering. (We got cheese dipping sauce unbeknownst to us that they already were cheesy. There’s only so much cheese a person can take in one meal.)
The staff was helpful and friendly, although definitely aimed at the college crowd. I really only have two complaints, and one of them is just personal opinion. First, we couldn’t get water in cups and had to buy bottled – which gets expensive, especially when you are buying drinks for kids. Second, their website is pretty annoying with sounds and moving graphics and what not.
Kid friendly: Yes, but no high chairs or boosters for dining in.
Methods of payment: Cash or credit.
