Review: The Potbelly Sandwich Works is sort of a “hip” sandwich shop. Normally, I don’t do hip, but they pull it off by creating a relatively fun atmosphere and not taking themselves seriously. In addition, they make a pretty tasty sandwich. My sandwich of choice is “The Wreck” on wheat. The Wreck is salami, roast beef, turkey, ham, and swiss cheese; you know: vegan fare.
In addition to the usual drinks, Potbelly Sandwich Works offers IBC root beer and cream soda as well as Stewarts Grape and Keylime. Their chips are from Poore Brothers, and I typically get the salt & vinegar chips. Basically, it’s a slightly upscale sub shop. They also sell soups, salads, and shakes with which I have no experience.
If you’re in the mood for a sandwich, this is a good place to get one. The online ordering works great for pickup. You can pay online or wait until you get your food; just walk up to the cash register, and you don’t have to wait around for your sandwich to get made. I believe they also deliver if the order is big enough, but I have not tried it yet.
Kid friendly: Sure. It’s sandwiches and chips. One of their sandwiches is a peanut-butter and jelly.
Methods of payment: Cash or credit.
