MSC has THE BEST grilled ham and cheese sandwich. I know it sounds basic, but somehow the owners do it right whether it's the Fair Oaks cheese, fresh local ham (when available) or just quality ham, or the awesome bread - it's magic. All of the other sandwiches are fantastic, too. The "Heart of Main Street" is really good with turkey, avocado, and some other fixings warmed on the panini grill. And don't even get me started on the Blackened Chicken Panini. I was hesitant to try because I thought the "blackened" would lend some spiciness, but it's not at all. The chicken is seasoned perfectly in Ivan's "secret blackened seasoning mix," the them he puts on the Fair Oaks Sweet Swiss and grills it all on Ciabata bread. Amazing!
There's also 4 different chicken salad options to choose from - I recommened the mandarin orange on a hot summer day.
You can also sign up for their newsletter to receive info about upcoming events, tastings, wines of the month, etc. The owners are delightful, and Main Street Cheese is an absolute gem!
