As many times before I stopped in this evening for a business meeting over dinner and received top quality service and food! Definitely the best smokehouse around, my favorite and highly recommended!

We love this place!
Hubby and I have visited South Street Smokehouse several times. Rib tips are a must! We got a full-order, an extra side and extra drink and fed my husband, myself, our toddler son, and still had a ton to take home. (they are just as good re-heated as they were the first time)

A favorite of ours, hope to see it around for many years to come!

The pulled pork is always delicious here. A few times I've had it, it has seemed a little watery. I think because it's served in foil a lot of steam condenses and catches in the bottom? It's a little off-putting, but doesn't detract from the deliciousness. The sauces that you can choose are all wonderful too. Weirdly, one of my favorite reasons to come here is because they have cherry coke and faygo redpop in their soda machine, two of my favorites.

The cornbread isn't what it used to be, for whatever reason. But what can't be helped by the addition of extra honey and butter?!

I found this website after hearing about it on WBAA. From the review of the South Street Smokehouse, we decided to try it last night. It was great! I'm always looking for authentic BBQ (the stuff at chain restaurants is ok, but nothing to write home about), and this was the real deal. I had the brisket meal with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw was obviously homemade, with it's own little kick. The brisket was tender and not dried out. There are jugs to try different sauces, which was nice. I tried the sweet and tangy sauce and the mild sauce, and they were both just right. The mild sauce had pretty good heat to it, but not enough to overpower the meat. There were about five other sauces that I didn't get around to trying.

The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful. I told him we had never been there before, and he gave us a rundown of the menu and some recommendations.

Overall I was very impressed with this place. Even the blues coming out of the speakers was spot on.

I'm definitely going back to try the Carolina and the Baltimore sandwiches. Actually I might just work my way down the menu!

Thanks for putting me on to this place!
