Review: I will begin this review by stating that I have a thing for Mexican food.  I like it, and I’m not all that discriminating.  There’s good Mexican food and better Mexican food.  In fact, I even like Taco Bell.  There, I said it.

So today I ran over to La Fiesta Burrito for lunch.  It’s a small restaurant in a strip mall on 350.  It’s small, with some tables and chairs.  Surely nothing fancy, but very colorful and clean.  Usually these types of restaurants have floors that make me want to put on an extra pair of socks, but this floor was so clean that some people might be inclined to eat off of it.  Me, not so much, but I’m not one to judge.

When I go to a strip-mall Mexican restaurant, there are three things that I expect. 1) a Mexican soap opera to be on the TV, 2) Jarritos in the cooler, and fresh tortilla chips.  I was not disappointed, the chips and salsa were very fresh and quite tasty.  Unfortunately, you have to pay to get additional chips and salsa.  I get the point there, they do make them fresh which takes more time and costs more than getting the giganto sized bag of factory chips, so I’m not complaining too much.  I just like chips and salsa a lot.

I ordered the Monday special, which was a tostada and a taco with rice and beans.  My opinion of the food was okay.  There was nothing outstanding about it, not like the chips.  The food was just okay.  I’ve been there before and had steak or chicken tacos, and those were very good, but the ground beef entrées were nothing special.

The service was very nice and friendly and I have absolutely no complaints.  The bathroom was very clean and from my view of the kitchen, it even appeared to be very orderly and clean.  This is clearly an establishment that takes hygiene to heart.

Had my wife pick me up a ground beef burrito, and was very pleased with the size to cost ratio. The burrito was pack with plenty of beef
and veggies, but wasnt the most flavorful, but still good. For $5.00 you cant beat
it. Will definitely go back.

This restaurant is small, very clean and friendly. Everytime my husband and I go to a Mexican restaurant we become very picky towards the food since we both are Mexican. We come from New Mexico, where the Mexican food is almost authentic but like everywhere, there is average, good and bad. The Carne Asada tortas at la Fiesta Burrito are delicious just what we expected. Tortas (Al Pastor) here are very different though they weren’t what we consider (Al Pastor) to be. I’m thinking that difference has a lot to do with the fact that most Mexicans working at La Fiesta, come from southern parts of Mexico and although the southern part of Mexico has awesome food! I’m used to the Northern part of Mexico’s food. Yes there are differences people! All in all Mexico has superb food and the Carne Asada tortas at La Fiesta Burrito are delicious. GO there!

My husband and I went out for Mexican and came across La Fiesta Burrito, I absolutely loved it! the place is clean and family friendly. The food is great, ordered the fiesta burrito dinner and a tacos and ending up spending less than $20. Great price and great food…couldnt have asked for anything better. Definitely recommend it!!

I went to La Fiesta Burrito 3 days ago after reading the reviews here in Lafayette-Eats and I must say, you were not kidding about the attention to hygene. When I walked in I was very impressed with their hand made booths and open space for a small restaurant. The waitress was very nice and friendly, it seems to be a family owned and operated business because the 3 people who are in there did an outstanding job taking my order and delivering it about 5 minutes later! I also have to agree with the great chips and salsa, which would be great if they didnt charge for a second batch but who blames them! It was delicious. The food was very fresh and the taste was very rich in flavor and cooked properly! Its a small, but effective little Mexican restaurant. I certainly recommend it!
